20 years of Sandhustlers

On March 5, 2005, Art Gonzalez Jr. opened the doors to the very first Sandhustlers shop in Bonita, CA. His goal? To give off-road enthusiasts a fresh alternative—quality clothing and parts at prices that beat the big-name brands.

Fast forward 20 years, and Art is still at it. While Sandhustlers no longer has physical retail locations, the brand continues to thrive online. From his home office, Art designs and ships every piece himself. It’s not about the money or recognition—it’s about keeping the off-road community geared up with style and choice.

Art once dreamed of being a professional off-road racer, but after suffering serious injuries—including a broken back—that dream had to be put on hold. Still, his love for the off-road lifestyle fuels his creativity, and designing gear remains his passion.

You might catch Art out in the desert, cruising in his Can-Am X3 or tearing it up on his quad. If you spot him, don’t be shy—say hello. You might just walk away with a free t-shirt!
